October 1st - October 5th, 2018
"Be Still and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10
‘To provide an environment where women are able to retreat from the strains of modern life and encounter God through the development of the spiritual disciplines.'
Our retreats will normally take place during autumn or spring and will be based around a nourishing rhythm of prayer and the development of a contemplative lifestyle. Life Rhythm will observed three times a day and there will be practical teaching and plenty of time to practice the spiritual disciplines during the day, together with 'unplugged' worship in the evening. Contemplative walks, silence and solitude, meditation and fellowship will also form part of the make-up of ‘Be’.
Gentle physical activities such as mindful stretching and breathing will also be included in the retreat, along with an emphasis on developing a healthy and nutritious diet.

Safeguarding conference for City Kids team and CPC staff or volunteers
November 24th, 2018
The aim of the course is to assist churches, places of worship, and faith organisations (not excluding non-faith based) to develop a broad but sound understanding of the safeguarding task specifically in relation to children and young people. This course is designed to equip attendees with the necessary tools to create robust safeguarding arrangements. The course will benefit all who work or volunteer directly with children and young people such as crèche workers and children and youth workers. This is a foundation course, designed to be accessed by anyone at any level of the safeguarding learning journey. This course should be viewed as the first step before moving on to any of our advanced and specialist modules.
This is a half day interactive programme delivered over a morning or an afternoon. Our professional and experienced trainer will use a range of methods to engage delegates from presentation slides to audio visual clips and small group exercises. The session is quite varied and is delivered at a reasonable pace for those who are particularly new to safeguarding.
